As I write this detailed review, I am still day dreaming and feeling nostalgic reliving the beautiful memories created at this dreamy property.
First and foremost, a special thanks to Ritiza (Marcom), Nishant (GM), Samesh (Butler), Simran (Executive Chef), Ankita (Restaurant) and the entire staff was super attentive and sweet. Thank you all for making us feel so so special and attending to our every need with more enthusiasm than ours.
So right off the bat, the moment you reach the jetty, before even reaching the palace, their hospitality starts! Upon reaching the palace you are greeted with such sincere warmth and a full royal welcome, along with a welcome drink.
So I had the privilege of reviewing 3 of their room categories;
1. The Grand Heritage Lake View Balcony Room: has a big room size, bathroom comes with a bathtub and him/her sinks, colourful aesthetics, and a decent sized balcony overlooking the lake Pichola.
TIP: Try getting the rooms between 301-312 (offers a wider lake view).
2. The Grand Heritage Private Pool Room: the room size is the same as the balcony room, however it opened up to a private plunge pool (decent size for 2) and further extends to your own little patia with a couch. These rooms are located on the base floor, so you can’t really see the lake but has a colourful view of fresh greens, gardens and lotus ponds!
3. The Swaran Mahal Duplex Suite: NOW THIS IS A ROOM! And I mean it when I say that, as it offers 2 levels; one having a lavish living room opening up to your private plunge pool and extended patio, + a beautiful dark wood spiral staircase taking you upstairs to your bedroom, bathroom, and closets, with a window offering a slightly higher view of the greens and nature.
They have higher suites as well, which you must see and try to experience if your pocket allows it. The experience is surreal.
FOOD:
They have some amazing dinner buffets which you MUST have! Offers an amazing spread of cuisines and the best part is that they have added a live Chat counter offering gol gappe, papdi, and a bunch of local street foods. SUPER TASTY!
Quick service, very attentive staff, and very eager to make your experience a smooth dream.
Mr. Simran Singh Thapar is the current executive chef here, whom I had the pleasure of meeting and borrowing him for a quick chat. He was kind enough to make us try some chef special “Off The Menu” gourmet dishes, which was an experience in itself.
Then for the celebration bit, and specially for a more romantic escape, we decided to experience the famous SHEESH MAHAL and it truly stands to its hype and name. It was truly magical and an experience in itself. I would specially go back there just to dine there once more time.
Right from the Welcome to the Exit! Simply flawless.
Kudos to the management there for upholding the standards of hospitality with such finesse.

Ps. They would dedicate a personal butler to you, who will be available for you almost 24.7. In our case we were lucky to have ‘Samesh’ who was with us through and through. Thank you for that.
